Where it began

Carols cafe 21 was originally just a name w used for our own personal kitchen and dining room , mostly as an endearing tease for my wife. Soon after we were married we started to notice more and more of our family and friends had begun to congregate on nearly a daily basis waiting to see what she would cook. In all the time previously myself and my little tribe of friends and family had lived the normal day to day existence of fast food or simple bachelor meals. So the discovery of her ability to cook like a boss was really amazing to a of us.
I had known Carol for almost two years when we decided to become husband and wife. During these two years I guess it just never came up, but when it did I for one was very pleasantly surprised. One of the first experiences I can remember is waking up to find a full country style breakfast waiting for me. This eye opening meal included eggs, bacon, homemade biscuits, and a fresh hot pot of coffee. I remarked to her at that very moment it had been since I was in my early 20’s since I had  meal like that at home, when my mother was still able to do things like that.
So as time marches on more and more people are “dropping by” at just around dinner time each day, in a short while we decide to just always cook for at least 5 or 6 people everyday. The extra portions were not really a problem according to Carol since she said she had learned her skills as a child in a large family so larger portions were actually the way she knew best to prepare her dishes.
In the coming 3 years our home became a virtual private restaurant for our friends and family.
